Jarv Premium Bluetooth® 4.0 Smart Heart Rate Monitor for iOS devices
Q. The Jarv Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor is not showing up in my paired device list and is not discoverable
A. This device pairs through your App and not in the normal phone Setting/Bluetooth area of IOS so it will not show up in your paired Bluetooth device list. The App of choice needs to launched and the device needs to be worn properly (please refer to the user manual) for it to actually turn itself ON and to be detected through the app. The device uses BT 4.0 which turns on and off when detecting a heart rate.
Please refer to the user’s manual to ensure that your device is being worn properly
Q. I updated my operating system and my App is not working.
A. The Apps do not upgrade automatically or detect the upgrade in the operating system; they need to be updated by the end user.
Q. Does the Heart Rate Monitor for iOS devices (JRV-HRM1285) work with IPhone 4?
A. No, the heart rate monitor operates on Bluetooth 4.0 which is not compatible with IPhone 4. It is only compatible with IPhone 4S and newer versions
Q. Devices does not turn on, what should I do?
A. The device needs to be properly worn in order to actually turn itself ON and to be detected through the App , see user’s manual for detailed instructions on how to properly wear the device.
Q. What is the average battery life on this device?
A. Average Battery life is 1-2 years. Should you need to replace it the battery model is 3V CR2032
Q. Values are inaccurate; my device stopped working, what should I do?
A. Please make sure the device is being worn properly as per the user’s manual. If you continue to get an inaccurate reading on your device or if it continues to be unresponsive your device may be defective, please contact customer support at customerservice@jarvmobile.com for further assistance
Q. Can I use my Jarv Heart Rate monitor while swimming?
A. No, the heart rate monitor cannot be used while swimming or any sorts of underwater activity. The device and transmitter are not waterproof and will not transmit data while underwater and may become seriously damaged if submerged.
Q. When using my heart rate monitor, how far can I be from my phone?
A. Transmission range is 10m (33ft)
Q. What iOS Devices are compatible with JRV-HRM1285?
A. IPhone 4S (IPhone 4 is not compatible) , IPhone 5, 5C, 5S , IPad 3 /4 , IPad Mini, IPod Touch 5G and other iOS devices using Bluetooth 4.0

A. The strap size adjusts from 27" to 45" (S-XXL)
Q. Is the heart rate monitor strap washable?
A. The strap can be hand washed using mild soap in warm water. It is very important to detach the transmitter from the strap before washing; the transmitter should not be in contact with water.
Q. Will the Jarv Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor for iOS devices (HRM1285) work with Iphone 6 and Iphone 6 Plus?
A. Yes , the Jarv Heart Rate Monitor for iOS devices is compatible with Iphone 6 and Iphone 6 Plus , but it is very important to make sure that you OS is up to date , using OS 8.1 or later . Please update your OS should you encounter any issues,

Q. Do you recommend any set-up tips for this device.
A. When wearing your HRM, please ensure that you properly moisten the electrodes on the strap, properly connect the transmitter using the L and R indicators, fasten the clips on both ends and adjust the strap to a comfortable snug fit. Make sure that the strap is not too loose or too tight so as to detect accurate heart rate data. The strap should be worn slightly below your chest; the sensor should be positioned to the center of your body, while the electrodes must be pressed against your skin

Q. How to reset your Jarv Elite/Elite HR fitness band
A. 1. Please press and hold the touch sensor button for 10 seconds. The Jarv Elite/Elite HR fitness band will show the icon in the OLED display below.
Note: If your Jarv Elite/Elite HR fitness band does not show this icon and goes into the Sleep Mode, please click the button again to wake up your Q-Band.
2. When you see the disconnect icon shown on the Jarv Elite/Elite HR fitness band, please click the button again to reset your device settings.
3. After reset your Jarv Elite/Elite HR fitness band, it will clear the Bluetooth settings, so you have to pair and connect with it again. Please activate i-gotU Life app on your phone, then select “Settings” > “Setup New Device” > “No. Not first time” , and follow the Installation Wizard to establish the connect between Jarv Elite/Elite HR fitness band and your phone.

Q. How to reset your Jarv Advantage HR Fitness Watch
A. 1. Please press and hold the side button of the watch for 10 seconds. The watch will show the icon in the OLED display below.
Note: If your Jarv Advantage HR does not show this icon and goes into Sleep Mode, please click the button again to wake up your Jarv Advantage HR.
2. When you see the disconnect icon shown on the Jarv Advantage HR, please click the button again to reset your device settings.
3. After reset your Jarv Advantage HR it will clear the Bluetooth settings, so you have to pair and connect with it again. Please activate i-gotU Life app on your phone, then select “Settings” > “Setup New Device” > “No. Not first time” , and follow the Installation Wizard to establish the connect between Jarv Advantage HR and your phone.

Jarv Advantage + HR Smart Watch & Heart Rate Monitor
Q. How do I charge my Jarv Advantage HR watch ?
A. 1- Plug the enclosed USB Charging cable directly into your PC USB port, USB wall adaptor (not included) or any similar electrical source. Charge fully before use. Initial charging time is approximately 2 hours.
2- Place the watch face up within the charging cradle so that the charging connectors are properly aligned. It is very important that the metallic charging connectors behind the watch face and inside the charging cradle are properly aligned to each other in order for the watch to successfully charge.
3- You should see a battery meter symbol appear on the watch’s display. If you do not see the battery meter appear at ¬first, please make sure the charging connectors are properly aligned and press down on the watch face to ensure contact until the battery meter symbol appears.
4- Once the battery meter is displayed, hold the watch and charger steady and carefully snap the charger clasp closed.
5- Put the watch/charger down on a stable flat surface. The battery meter will disappear after a couple of seconds, to save energy, but the watch is still charging. If you pick the watch/charger up, the battery meter will reappear on the display. Once charging is complete a full battery meter will be displayed on the watch’s display when picked up.
